Domaine Simone: exceptional wine in Geneva

An estate created to write a story, not perpetuate one

Domaine Simone does not perpetuate a story. It is writing one.
2023, Domaine Simone officially acquires its first plot. The official beginning of a story that, in reality, had started long before.

No inherited vines, no handed-down cellar, no name already written on a label. Only a desire: that of a young man who wanted to make wine, and an ambition, that of making Geneva a benchmark.

Since then, this conviction has taken root and, with more than 1.4 hectares of vineyards in production, Domaine Simone does not perpetuate a story. It is writing one.

Le Calvaire, 40% slope. The plot that decided everything

Everything starts with a slope. A 40% incline, facing due west, on one of the steepest hillsides in Russin.

Where others gave up, Damien Simone chose to stay. Even before the first signature, even before the estate existed, there was this plot, worked alone, by hand, out of conviction.
Today, in its honor, we give its name to our entire range.

Calvaire Sélection: 5473 bottles of an exceptional blend

5473 bottles of this elegant and complex white wine, born from the harmonious alliance between Chasselas and Chardonnay.

On the nose, the floral aromas of the Chasselas (linden, white flowers) converse with the fruits of the Chardonnay (pear, white peach), enriched by a minerality characteristic of moraine soils and discreet tertiary aromas (butter, brioche, vanilla, roasted nuts).

On the palate, the balance between the mineral tension of the Chasselas and the roundness of the Chardonnay is confirmed. The absence of filtration preserves the authenticity of the terroir.

A beautiful, lingering, and crystalline finish.

Two profiles, one ambition: putting Geneva on the map

Damien Simone spent months traveling across the canton in search of land that could carry his ambition. It was during this quest that he met, and then convinced, Natalio Cano. Two profiles, one shared ambition.

Today, Damien manages the vines and the wine, from the plot to the bottle. Natalio carries the voice of the estate to the market, in Switzerland as well as internationally. Two professions, a single goal: to put Geneva on the map.

From this encounter, Domaine Simone was born. Not an estate that perpetuates a family history, but an estate that creates one.
